Fireflies

Yet another pic where the original sketch has nothing to do with the final version, as well as yet another piece of practice with diferent coloring styles.
As you can see, this time I tried some more digital painting for coloring. I did the background myself (rain makes everything fuzzy, so I didn't have to die trying to get details right), as well as the leaves and rain, with the help of some very handy tutorials.

The original sketch was of CeeCee with one of her hands on her face and another out as she admired a bracelet in said outstretched paw, all the while Fur smiled at her. I woke up around three in the morning with the conviction that I needed to make it a rainy scene, so I tinkered with the sketch 'till I was satisfied. I changed her arms, direction of her eyes and cut Fur out, so I could make her stare up. When I started coloring I was going to make some sun-rays reach her from beneath the leaves, so she'd be looking at the sun as itg peeked from between clouds. The whole thing ended up being much darker than I expected, so for a light source I put a whole bunch of fireflies above her head, which was still consistent with the lighting and her pose.
